Illidan Stormrage is a prominent character in the Warcraft universe, making his first appearance in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002).

Born a night elf, Illidan, along with his twin brother Malfurion, were both exceptionally gifted. Illidan's pursuit of power led him down a dark path, corrupting him and leading him to embrace demonic energies.

Driven by a desire to defeat the Burning Legion at any cost, he underwent drastic transformations, including accepting demonic gifts that changed his physical form, giving him wings and enhanced combat abilities. He became known as the Betrayer for his controversial methods.

Illidan's actions often put him at odds with other factions in Azeroth, including his brother. Despite his questionable tactics, his ultimate goal remained the protection of his world from demonic invasion, making him a complex and morally ambiguous figure.
